Levoit Vital 100 is a stylish-looking air purifier with side and bottom air intake and top purified air exhaust.

Its physical dimensions are (W x D x H) 12.8 x 6.4 x 16.1 inches (~32.4 x 16.2 x 41 cm) and it weighs 9.3 pounds (~4.2 kg).

Levoit Vital 100 is rated at 55 watts, which is maximum power consumption when the air fan is set to the maximum speed.

The unit is advertised as H13 (99.95%) and a true HEPA air purifier (99.97% of 0.3 microns or larger particles) - depending on the standard. But, regardless of the standard, Levoit Vital 100 is able to capture very small particles and exhausts practically clean air, thanks to its three-stage air filter based on:

- washable mechanical air pre-filter that captures larger airborne particles,

- true HEPA air filter that captures very fine particles of dust, pollen, germs, and other air pollutants,

Unlike many similar air purifiers, Levoit Vital 100 doesn't feature UV-C light, Titanium-Dioxide, nor ion generators - these features would increase the air purification even more, but they may also lead to ozone production in trace amounts. Since ozone may be harmful for human and pet lungs, Levoit Vital 100 air purification is based 'only' on mechanical air filters and harmless activated carbon layer.

According to the manufacturer, the CADR rating of Levoit Vital 100 is 130 CFM (221 m3/h) - although CADR ratings of air purifiers are closely related to the airflow given in Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM), CADR ratings (often given for smoke, dust, pollen) are not CFM.

Nonetheless, Levoit Vital 100 is able to purify areas with the standard ceiling height in:

• 975 ft2 (~91 m2) in 60 minutes,
• 500 ft² (~46.5 m²) in 30 minutes,
• 300 ft² (~27.9 m²) in only 18 minutes.

If the amount of air pollutants is high, Levoit Vital 100 is recommended for areas up to 300 ft² (~27.9 m2), not more.

The control panel is simple and includes:

• On/Off Button - turns the unit On and Off
• Fan Speed Indicator
• Fan Speed Button - cycles through the air fan speeds, including Low (I), Medium (II), and High (III).
• Display Off Button - turns the display light off, which is a very nice feature when the unit is used at night in the sleeping rooms.
• Timer Indicator
• Timer Button - cycles through timer options (off, 2h, 4h, and 8h)
• Check Filter Indicator - signals the user to check the air filter.

Levoit Vital 100 features very low noise levels (23-50 dB) and is suitable for sleeping rooms, especially when the speed is set to Low (I).

Levoit Vital 100 Maintenance

Levoit Vital 100 is a very simple to maintain air purifier - maintenance tasks include keeping the unit clean and periodically cleaning/replacing the air filter:

• Pre-filter should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks and replaced when replacing true HEPA and activated carbon filter
• True HEPA and activated carbon filter is NOT washable air filter. It should be replaced every 6-8 months.

Note: Levoit Vital 100 comes with the preinstalled air filter, but the air filter is transported in an air-sealed plastic bag - before the very first use, take the filter out of its protective bag and place it in its position.
