Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor Canister Vacuum Cleaner is corded, bagged canister vacuum cleaner, designed for cleaning large areas of bare floors and low-pile carpets. Thanks to the flexible cleaning hose and stainless steel telescopic wand, Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor is able to reach and clean surfaces from the floor to the ceiling.

Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor Features and Specifications
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor is rated at 1200 watts (10 Amps), offering excellent suction thanks to the Miele's Vortex Motor.
Suction motor features thermal protection - if the air flow through the unit is somehow blocked, the motor's internal temperature may rise. In order to protect the motor, thermal switch turns the motor off, preventing the damage.
If/when that happens, be sure to turn off the unit, unplug it from the wall and remove the clogs and/or blockages, check the vacuum bag and air filters. After letting the unit cool down for at least 30 minutes, use it as you normally would.
Note: Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor is simple to use and maintain bagged canister vacuum, but when it arrives, read the manual thoroughly in order to get accustomed to your new vacuum cleaner.
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor features ~33 feet (~10 m) cleaning radius using just one wall power socket. Power cord is ~21 feet (~6.5 m) long and is stored using automatic power cord rewind system.
All controls are positioned on the canister itself and they include foot operated power on/of switch, foot operated power cord rewind system and rotary power selector with 6 positions.
Since the power selector is on the canister, people having back problems may have issues with setting suction control.
6 suction settings include:
- curtains and sensitive fabrics,
- upholstery and cushions,
- high-pile carpets and rugs,
- energy saving, very quiet, vacuuming,
- low pile carpets and rugs,
- hard floors and heavily soiled carpets and rugs.
Note: Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor does NOT feature main cleaner head with the active/motorized brushroll and its capabilities to clean high-pile carpets are limited, at least using main cleaner heads/brushes that come by default with the unit.
Physical dimensions of the unit are (LxH) ~ 19.2 x 9 inches (~49 x 23 cm) and it weighs 8.80 pounds (~4 kg) and can be easily carried around - canister in one hand, cleaning wand in another hand.
Since it is canister vacuum, pulled during vacuuming tasks, Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor features all-round bumper strip, preventing the damage on the floor objects, walls and obstacles, but also on the unit.
Note: All-round bumper strip is very nice feature, but just in case, be sure to avoid bumping with the canister as much as possible.
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor also features wheels that are gentle on the floors and ensure great maneuverability during the cleaning.
Miele's Sealed System Construction (SSC) ensures that no air is left outside prior being thoroughly filtered.
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor is bagged vacuum and it uses disposable AirClean 3D Efficiency GN Type vacuum bags. Since vacuum bags are very important for proper air filtration, it is recommended to use only OEM vacuum bags. After all, only OEM bags can ensure capturing of at least 99.9% of all dust particles.
AirClean 3D Efficiency GN Type vacuum bags are disposable vacuum bags - when they are full, they are replaced with the new empty bag with no need for the user to touch the dirt. Also, they are made using randomly spun fibers, ensuring that the air can flow easily, while preventing the small particles from exiting the bag.
Their self-locking Auto-Seal collar prevents the dirt from exiting the bag when the bag is being replaced.
Note that '3D' means that the air bag is designed to be filled fully with the dirt prior being changed and with the 4.5 liters capacity, that is plenty of dirt. Also, GN type of vacuum bags feature blue collar, while other Miele's vacuum bags feature collars colored differently (yellow, green, red for example).
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor features dirt bag change sensor, signalizing the user when it is time to change the vacuum bag.
Note: when fine dust and dirt are vacuumed, it is possible that the 'vacuum full bag' sensor signalize that the bag is full although it is not - if that happen, change the bag because it is filled with the fine dirt and it already creates large pressure drop (even though it is not entirely full).
Miele AirClean 3D Efficiency GN Type vacuum bags can be purchased in various packages, but the most popular one is a package containing 4 original Miele GN Type vacuum bags, one pre-motor air filter and one AirClean post-motor exhaust air filter.
When the unit arrives, it comes with standard AirClean air filter.
If required, users can choose between Miele Active AirClean 50 Filter and Miele HEPA AirClean SF-HA 50 air filters, which trap 99.95% of 0.3 microns or larger particles.
Both of these filters are HEPA air filters designed for ~50 hours (or 12 months on average) of operation, featuring time strip which signals the user when it is time to change the air filter.
Main difference between these two filters is that Miele Active AirClean 50 Filter features a layer of activated carbon, ensuring capturing pet odors and harmful gases.
Although Miele Active AirClean 50 Filter and Miele HEPA AirClean SF-HA 50 air filters cost more than standard AirClean air filter, they are both highly recommended.

Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor features two floor brushes and three accessory tools for vacuuming elevated surfaces.
Miele SBD 285-3 Smooth Floor Brush
Miele SBD 285-3 is designed for vacuuming all types of bare floors, low-pile carpets and rugs.
It features foot switch which allows the user to change the cleaning surface from the bare floors to carpets and back rather quickly and easily, without bending.
Miele SBD 285-3 features two joint, ensuring the good maneuverability, while keeping the brush properly placed on the floor for optimal cleaning.
Miele SBB 400-3 Parquet Twister XL Smooth Floor Brush
Miele SBB 400-3 is designed for vacuuming bare floors only, especially sensitive wooden floors.
It features mix of natural and polyamide brush bristles (hairs), ensuring gentle contact with the floor, but also thorough cleaning.
Due to it its width, Miele SBB 400-3 can cover and clean large area quickly, saving time and effort.
And despite its width, Miele SBB 400-3 is rather maneuverable cleaning tool, suitable for various types of dirt, including both smaller and larger debris, pet and human hair and similar.
Note: Miele SBD 285-3 and Miele SBB 400-3 should glide easily over the cleaned surfaces. If they are hard to push/pull, decrease the suction using rotary selector on the canister's body.
Additional cleaning tools include Dusting Brush, Upholstery Tool and Crevice Tool and these cleaning tools are carried onboard and are ready to be used at the moment notice.
Dusting Brush features gentle brush bristles - as the brush glides over the cleaned area, bristles agitate the dirt, which is than vacuumed into the unit via strong suction. Note that when vacuuming sensitive surfaces, it is very important to decrease the suction, regardless if you are vacuuming with Dusting Brush, or Upholstery Tool or Crevice Tool.
Upholstery Tool is intended for vacuuming upholstery (hence the name), furniture, stairs and similar surfaces.
Crevice Tool is designed for cleaning gaps, edges, corners, between car seats and bed mattresses and other hard to reach surfaces.
By combining Miele SBD 285-3 Smooth Floor Brush, Miele SBB 400-3 Parquet Twister XL Smooth Floor Brush and three accessory tools, Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor Canister Vacuum Cleaner can be really helpful in keeping the home clean and more pleasant to live.
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor vs Miele Complete C3 Marin
Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor and Miele Complete C3 Marin are two bagged, corded, canister vacuums with many similarities, but also differences:
- both vacuums use Type GN vacuum bags,
- both are powered with Miele's Vortex 1200W motors,
- Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor uses stainless steel telescopic wand, while Miele Complete C3 Marin uses electrified telescopic wand, which allows Miele Complete C3 Marin to use electrified cleaning tools.
- Miele Complete C2 Hard Floor is intended for bare floors and low-pile carpets, while Miele Complete C3 Marin is intended practically for all floor types.
