Miele SMD 10 Mattress Tool is designed for cleaning mattresses, stairs, upholstery and other similar surfaces. It has robust, wide, but also flat nozzle, allowing the tool to clean hard to reach areas like between mattresses, seats, cushions and bed frames.
So called 'the thread catchers' are positioned on the lower rear part of the nozzle and they help remove pet and human hair, lint, fibers and other similar dirt from mattresses, upholstery and other cleaned surfaces.

However, note that this tool doesn't have:
- vibrating pads/bars (to help loosen deeply embedded dirt),
- rotating brush (to clean even deeper than using just thread catchers),
- UV light (to sanitize the mattress),
- warm/hot air blower (to dry out the surface and help with mattress cleaning).
