Shark VACMOP VM252 is compact and lightweight bare floor cleaner, powered by an onboard lithium-ion battery that is used for creating suction and vacuuming, for LED headlights and for dispensing of the Shark VACMOP Cleaner cleaning solution.
Shark VACMOP VM252 weighs only 3.34 pounds (~1.51 kg) with the cleaning tank solution empty.
Physical dimensions are (L x W x H) 5.38 x 9.5 x 47.86 (13.6 x 24.1 x 121.6 cm) with the cleaning path width of 9.81 inches (~25 cm).
Shark VACMOP VM252 is rated at 85 watts (7.8 Amps). Shark VACMOP VM252 creates suction strong enough to clean bare floors, but it is not intended for cleaning of carpets and area rugs.
VACMOP Disposable Pads are designed to be used for both mopping and vacuuming. Their dirt chamber collects and locks away dirt and debris during vacuuming, while the pad’s fibers absorb messes during mopping.
All collected dust and debris are absorbed when mopping - although it features vacuuming suction, Shark VACMOP VM252 doesn't feature classic dust cup that has to be periodically emptied - all that user has to do is to throw the dirty disposable pad in the trash and to attach the new, clean pad.
Also, from time to time, the user has to refill the cleaning solution tank.
VACMOP disposable pads can safely be used on all sealed hard floors, including stone, marble, hardwood and laminate, vinyl, tiles, linoleum, etc.
Disposable pads should be replaced when they become fully saturated, their dirt chambers full, when they are noticeably dirty, or if the Shark VACMOP starts showing signs of reduced suction power.
Shark VACMOP VM252 Pro is a cordless unit, so if the user notices the reduced suction power, the user should also check the LED battery power and charging indicator - if it is blinking (blinking white - low battery, blinking red - very low battery), charge the unit.
Note: Shark VACMOP VM252 Pro is simple to use and maintain a hard floor mop, but when it arrives, be sure to read the manual thoroughly in order to get accustomed to your new unit - better safe than sorry.
Mop pads are disposable, increasing the operating costs, but since they can be purchased in 10 and 30 pads packages, their price, in the end, is very acceptable.

Controls of the Shark VACMOP VM252 Pro are very simple and straightforward. Controls are positioned on the handle and they include:
- Spray Button is used for dispensing of the cleaning solution when and where required,
- Vacuum Trigger is used for vacuuming of the dry debris and collecting them in the dirt chamber of the disposable pad.
When cleaning, it is recommended to vacuum first the dry dirt and then to mop the bare floors.
Shark VACMOP VM252 Pro comes with the LED headlights that are activated by the motion sensor - after 10 seconds of inactivity, LED headlights are turned off.
LED headlights are a nice add-on since Shark VACMOP VM252 Pro features low profile and swivel neck and is able to reach and clean under most common floor objects and obstacles, like furniture, beds, and similar.
When the unit arrives, the box contains Shark VACMOP VM252 Pro mop, 2 VACMOP disposable pads, and 12 oz. Shark Multi-surface hard floor cleaner.
In order to avoid floor streaks and to clean properly, it is recommended by the manufacturer to use the Shark VACMOP Cleaner cleaning solution which comes in two scents: Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner - Spring Clean and Hardwood Cleaner - Citrus Clean.
