Shark Rocket HV292 comes with TruePet motorized brush, a 12" (~30.5 cm) crevice tool, and a dusting brush. The unit also has a flexible hose for easier control and access to tight and hard-to-reach areas.

Thanks to a 400W (~3.5 Amps) motor and specialized cleaning tools, Shark HV292 is suitable for cleaning various types of dirt like dust, pet and human hair, lint, pet dry food, etc., from various surfaces at home like furniture, upholstery, stairs, corners, and other surfaces, often unreachable using main home vacuum cleaner.

The power cord is 15 feet (~4.6 m) long – it is long enough for covering and cleaning messes in a single room.

For longer reach, either change the power outlet or use a long extension power cord. Shark HV292 is an excellent emergency vacuum cleaner, but it is not as fast as cordless models that don’t have to be plugged into the power socket to operate.

Shark Rocket HV292 Air Filtration

Shark HV292 uses a multilayered sir filtration system based on cyclonic dirt air separation and washable mechanical filters.

This is the so-called Shark’s "Never Loses Suction Technology," which basically means that suction is not decreased until the dirt bin is almost full, unlike some bagged models, which lose suction as the bag is filled with the vacuumed dirt.

On top of that, the dirt bin is easy to empty – it is not detachable from the unit, it just opens on the bottom and is emptied in the trash.

The dirt bin capacity is 0.42 dry quarts (~0.5 liters) which is enough for most quick cleanups and smaller regular cleaning tasks.

When being used, the center of mass is usually right below the handle, making single-hand use easy, even for elderly people and kids. If you plan on letting your kids use this vacuum, it must be done under the supervision of adults – but the unit will help your kids clean their own messes and teach them some important work habits.

For cleaning stairs, upholstery, and even smaller carpets, most owners use TruePet motorized brush, which is an excellent cleaning tool for smaller surfaces – its width is 6 inches (~15 cm), which is narrower when compared with larger uprights.

However, HV292 focuses 400 W motor in 6 inches cleaning tool, providing very similar suction to 10 Amp vacuums with 12 inches cleaning nozzles.

In the case of any issues with suction, turn off the unit, unplug it from the wall socket, and check for any debris and hair clogs in the unit.

Shark Rocket HV292 is very simple to use and maintain handheld vacuum, but when it arrives, just in case, be sure to read the Owner's Guide/instructions.

The list of maintenance tasks is relatively short:

• After each vacuuming, empty the dirt bin.
• Once a month, wash and fully air-dry foam and felt pre-motor air filters.
• Once a year, wash and fully air-dry the post-motor exhaust air filter.
• After vacuuming using TruePet motorized brush, remove tangled hair and lint from the brushroll.

And that is more or less.

Note: keeping the air filters clean is very important in order to keep the suction at the proper level. If your HV292 starts losing suction and You can't find the reason, wash the air filters. Or, replace them with new air filters - air filters kit can be ordered from online stores, for example.
