Bissell 2307 SpinWave Cordless Hard Floor Mop Features and Specifications
Bissell 2307 SpinWave is cordless unit - it is 'cordless hard floor mop', and NOT 'cordless steam mop'.
This unit doesn't feature water heater and it doesn't produce any steam during use.
Bissell 2307 SpinWave is cordless mop, featuring two circular spinning mop pads. Unit is powered via 18V lithium battery, providing up to 20 minutes of operation on the single battery charge.
Cleaning path width is 14 inches (~35.6 cm), enabling the user to clean large area quickly - although the speed of cleaning depends on the floor and dirt type, too.
Unit weighs 11 pounds (~5 kg) with an empty tank. Maximum tank capacity is 28 oz (~0.83 liters). Also, Bissell 2307 features integrated carrying handle to help the user carry it around.
Thanks to the low profile, lightweight design, swivel neck and perhaps the most important, cordless design, Bissell 2307 SpinWave is very maneuverable hard floor mop, suitable for cleaning in emergencies and for regular cleaning.
When the unit arrives, it requires minimal assembly. Before the very first use, be sure to thoroughly read the manual/instructions.
Package contains charger, unit itself, four different mop pads (2x soft pads, 2x scrubby pads), 2x Bissell Multi-Surface formula, charger, and manual/instructions.
When the unit arrives, it must be fully charged first - after the unit is charged for 4 hours, it is ready for the first use.
Note: when the battery charge gets under 10%, it is recommended by the manufacturer that the unit should be charged for 4 hours. Also, it is recommended NOT to leave the charger plugged into the unit after the battery is fully recharged.
Controls are simple and placed on the handle. They include power on/off switch and 'Spray on demand' switch.
Note: when the unit is in upright position, when turned on, its pads will not start to spin. Mop pads start to spin only when the unit is reclined backwards. Also, if the unit is turned on and it stop working, turn the unit off and check if there is something blocking mop pads from rotating.
After removing any debris that prevent normal operation, and letting the unit to cool down, it should operate normally. If not, call the support.
Mop pads come in two versions: 2x soft pads and 2x scrubby pads. Soft pads are intended for everyday use and for cleaning sensitive and delicate floors. Scrubby pads are intended for cleaning of tough messes and stubborn stains. Both soft pads and scrubby pads are machine washable and reusable.
Pads can be replaced easily, just be sure to accurately position the mop pads. If that is the issues, use storage tray to accurately position the mop pads.
In order to prolong the time between mop pads replacements, it is perhaps the best option to vacuum heavily soiled floors before cleaning them with hard floor mop.
Thanks to the two different mop pads, Bissell 2307 is suitable for cleaning tiles, sealed wood floors, laminate, vinyl, linoleum and other different floors commonly found at homes and apartments.
Bissell 2307 is not suitable for cleaning the carpets and it doesn't even feature carpet glider or anything similar.
Note: since Bissell 2307 uses water to clean the floors, be sure that your hardwood and laminate floors are free of cracks - cracks can leak the water/moisture inside the vacuum and cause wood to buckle and even rot.
On the other hand, hard floor mop with soft pads is more suitable cleaning solution than steam mops with soft pads due to the lack of hot steam.
And the lack of hot steam means that Bissell 2307 doesn't sanitize the floors, like steam mops do.
In order to effectively clean the floors, a cleaning formula should be added into the cleaning tank and mixed with tap water.
Bissell 2307 comes with 2 trial size Multi-Surface Formula (suitable for woodn floors, area rugs and tiles/marble), but if you have more wooden floors, consider purchasing Wood Floor Formula, too.
Long Story Short: Bissell 2307 SpinWave Cordless Hard Floor Mop is cordless hard floor mop - it is NOT steam mop or anything similar.
When cleaning, Bissell 2307 doesn't sanitize the floors like 'real' steam mops, but the Bissell 2307 is more gentler than other steam mop and can be used for cleaning more delicate surfaces.
