Kärcher VC 4s Cordless Stick Vacuum is an ultralight convertible, 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner, featuring a well-balanced design combined with good performances and acceptable price.

Kärcher VC 4s Cordless Stick Vacuum follows the same design philosophy of the previous Kärcher VC4i Cordless Stick Vacuum vacuum cleaner and introduces several improvements, including quieter operation, different handle design, etc.

Kärcher VC 4s Features and Specifications

Kärcher VC 4s is a cordless vacuum cleaner powered by a 5-cell 18V 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery, ensuring fade-free power and long operating time, which depends on the suction mode:

- Eco-mode: 60+ minutes,

- Standard mode: 30+ minutes,

- Max. Suction mode: 12+ minutes & 15 kPa of suction.

Kärcher VC 4s features a highly efficient brushless motor that spins at 100k RPM, which is rated at 190W. Also, the unit comes with a motorized main cleaner head which is rated at 30W.

A relatively strong suction motor combined with a motorized brushroll ensures good cleaning regardless of the surface, making Kärcher VC 4s suitable for vacuuming both carpeted and bare floors.

Note: Kärcher VC 4s doesn't feature brushroll On/Off switch and although its brushroll is rather gentle and can be used on hardwood and similar floors, if You have very sensitive bare floors, consider Kärcher VC 4s Premium model which is sold exclusively via Kärcher Official website.

When the battery is fully discharged, it takes 3-4 hours to fully charge it again.

Kärcher VC 4s comes with a rather convenient charging floor station that is also used for storing the unit and its additional cleaning tools.

The charging station is a self-standing station, requiring no extra drilling as wall-mounted charging stations do.

Kärcher VC 4s comes with a motorized main cleaner head featuring a spinning brushroll which helps remove deeply embedded dirt and hair even from high-pile carpets.

However, no matter how well designed Kärcher VC 4s is, its cleaning ability cannot be compared with much stronger canister, upright, or stick vacuums, which usually also cost more than Kärcher VC 4s cordless stick vacuum.

The main cleaner head features a low profile and full swivel neck, ensuring good maneuverability and easy reach under most common floor objects like beds and sofas.

The main cleaner head also has a soft bumper strip, but it also lacks LED headlights.

Conversion from the stick vacuum cleaner into a handheld vacuum and back can be done quickly and easily.

When the Kärcher VC 4s is in handheld mode, it weighs just 2.8 pounds (~1.3 kg) without the cleaning tools and can be used easily even by elderly people and children (children under supervision by adults, of course).

The dirt bin capacity is 0.3 liters and could be perhaps larger. But, it is translucent, allowing the user to check the amount of vacuumed dirt. Also, the dirt bin is easily emptied directly into the trashcan, with no need from users to ever touch the vacuumed dirt.

The air filtration system features HEPA 12 air filtration level - it is able to capture and retain 99.5% microscopic particles, exhausting almost pure air, which prevents secondary pollution of the cleaned area.

The air filtration system is based on cyclonic action and several mechanical air filters - air filters and dirt bin are washable using plain water. However, it is recommended to replace the air filters after 6 months or as required, depending on the vacuum use and type of dirt.

Note: Kärcher VC 4s is intended for dry dirt only, so after washing, be sure to thoroughly dry air filters and dirt bin - operating the unit with wet/moist parts may damage the unit and render its warranty void.

Kärcher VC 4s Additional Cleaning Tools

Kärcher VC 4s comes with two additional cleaning tools, including:

- Crevice Tool is actually a 2-in-1 cleaning tool, combining a long and narrow crevice tool and a soft brush.

- Upholstery tool is used for vacuuming upholstered surfaces, but also mattresses, car seats, stairs, and similar.

Crevice Tool and Upholstery Tool allow Kärcher VC 4s owners to clean elevated surfaces too, making Kärcher VC 4s stick vacuum cleaner suitable even as a main vacuum cleaner in smaller homes and apartments and as an excellent second vacuum cleaner in large(r) homes.
