Tineco iFloor Features and Specifications
Tineco iFloor is rated at 120 watts and is powered with a 21.6V 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is able to provide a runtime of 20-22 minutes in Normal mode.
When the battery is discharged, it takes around 3-4 hours to fully charge it using the charger that comes with the unit - since Tineco iFloor is powered with a lithium-ion battery, never charge it with the battery charger intended for some other unit.
The unit is charged by plugging the charger plug into the unit and the charger into the wall, while the unit is stored in the self-cleaning storage tray.
The battery is not removable by the user - it is permanently soldered to the unit's electronics board, and any issue with the battery must be resolved by Tineco.
The unit's physical dimensions are 10.6 x 9.8 x 43.7 inches (~27 x 25 x 111 cm), and it weighs 6.5 pounds (~2.95 kg) - it is a rather lightweight unit, especially considering all the features that come with the unit.
Also, it is easy to carry around, even up and down the stairs.
Tineco iFloor features two transparent tanks, one for clean water (Clean Water Tank, CWT, 530 ml, ~18 ounces) and another for dirty liquids (Dirty Water Tank, DWT, 400 ml, ~13.5 ounces).
The water flow rate in Normal mode is ~40 ml/minute and ~220 ml/minute in the so-called Spot mode.
Controls are on the handle and allow the user to control all the important functions of the unit easily.
These controls include:
- On/Off switch for turning the unit On and Off,
- Spot mode switch for cleaning tough stains and stubborn dirt. In the Spot mode, the brushroll spins faster, and the water/cleaning solution flow is increased,
- Solution trigger which is used for releasing water/cleaning solution for cleaning floors.
Note: Tineco iFloor is intended for cleaning/washing SEALED bare floors, like laminate, glazed ceramics, hardwood, marble, and similar. Non-sealed bare floors should NOT be washed with Tineco iFloor or any similar cleaning aid. Although Tineco iFloor is easy to use and maintain bare floor washer, when it arrives, be sure to read its manual thoroughly.
Since the user controls water flow, Tineco iFloor can also be used as a dry vacuum cleaner for quick cleanups, although its performance as such can't be compared with large, full-size dry vacuum cleaners specifically built for such purposes.
Tineco iFloor features the main cleaner head with a soft brushroll optimized for picking up dirt off bare floors and for washing such surfaces.
The unit can be used as a carpet washer too, but since the brushroll is soft and gentle, it can't pull out deeply embedded dirt and hair - use it for quick cleanups and for refreshing the carpets' surfaces.
A pair of wheels, swivel neck, and lightweight design ensure good maneuverability, while a low main cleaner head profile helps with the cleaning under and around most common floor objects and obstacles.
Clean Water Tank (CWT) can be filled with warm tap water (up to 140°F, 60°C) for improved cleaning - Tineco iFloor is a cordless unit, and as such, it doesn't feature a water heater.
For everyday cleaning, it is recommended to add one bottle cap of Tineco's cleaning solution to the CWT and to use Normal cleaning mode, and for cleaning stubborn messes, one should use Spot cleaning mode.
Note: some users complain about the unit leaving floors dull and with streaks - if that happens often, try to use distilled or at least demineralized water for cleaning. Such water costs more than ordinary tap water, but it leaves no streaks and helps the floors have their natural glossy shine. For more about this topic, feel free to check our Why Is My Tineco Leaving Streaks? Solved! article.
Although Tineco recommends that users use only their cleaning solution (like all other brands do), using other cleaning solutions/formulas is possible, just be sure to follow the instructions.
Tineco iFloor Maintenance
Tineco iFloor is easy to maintain.
The battery is charged when required - unit feature battery/unit status indicator LEDs, signaling the user the state of the battery/unit.
Clean Water Tank (CWT) is filled with water or cleaning solution prior to cleaning, and the Dirty Water Tank (DWT) is emptied after cleaning.
Also, after cleaning it is good practice to clean, if necessary, a Dirty Water Tank, safety float, and pre-filter.
Thanks to the self-cleaning storage tray, the user can quickly clean the unit by placing the unit on the tray, filling the Clean Water Tank with at least 1/3 of water/cleaning solution, and pressing and holding the Start button for at least 3 seconds - this starts a self-cleaning process which lasts for about 40 seconds, after which unit turns itself automatically off.
Also, it is up to the user to remove tangled hair and lint from the brushroll, which can be done using ordinary scissors.
Note: for exact maintenance procedures of the Tineco iFloor, check the manual.

Nonetheless, Tineco iFloor is a capable wet/dry bare floor vacuum cleaner/washer that can save You plenty of time and, at the same time, make your home cleaner and more pleasant to live in. Also, it comes at the most acceptable price of these three models.
