Bissell 9595A CleanView Features and Specifications
BISSELL 9595A CleanView vacuum cleaner features so-called OnePass Technology which combines very strong suction and motorized brush – cleaning much more dirt in fewer passes.
The unit features a large dirt bin, and a washable foam filter, making the maintenance rather simple. Nonetheless, be sure to read the manual thoroughly before first use, in order to familiarize yourself with the unit.
BISSELL 9595A CleanView comes with several, very useful attachments, providing faster and more effective cleaning of surfaces like upholstery, stairs, furniture, and similar. Cleaning attachments include a turbo brush tool, crevice tool, and dusting brush.
The unit comes with a rather strong 12 amp motor, which provides very good suction. The power cord is 25 feet (7.6 m) long and is long enough for most situations. The unit doesn’t have a cord automatic rewind system. Bissell 9595A could be less noisy, but the noise levels are acceptable. There is no variable suction control – the unit operates at the full throttle all the time. Also, there is no brush Off/On switch.
To clean more efficiently on low-, medium- and high-pile carpets, the unit cleaning foot has 5 possible height adjustments.
Height adjustment is done manually – the lowest setting is for hard floors and low-pile carpets, while the highest setting is for high-pile carpets and rugs. Other settings are for medium-pile carpets. Note that too high setting decreases the effect of cleaning, while too low setting increases the required force to move the vacuum around.
The cleaning path width of the main cleaning head is 13.5 inches (34 cm), making it easy to clean a rather large area quickly.
The unit weighs around 15 pounds (6.8 kg) and perhaps could be lighter.
BISSELL 9595A CleanView combines a cyclonic dirt-air separation system with a mechanical pre-motor foam filter and post-motor pleated air filter for rather good air filtration (not HEPA grade!) and longer, strong suction.
The foam air filter is washable, while the pleated filter is not washable. When returning the foam filter, be sure that it is fully dry.
The pleated filter should be occasionally gently tapped (for example, by hand or at the trash can) so that at least some dirt is removed.
However, every 3-6 months, depending on the use, filters should be replaced with new ones.
Instead of a ‘common’ pleated filter, there are OEM filters that help remove odors and are scented. They cost slightly more, but since they last for months, that extra money is recommended investment.
Bissell 9595A doesn’t have filter or clog sensors, so it is up to the user to notice a drop in cleaning performance and decide when to clean or replace the filters. And when the unit gets clogged, it is pretty obvious – turn off the unit, unplug it from the wall and clean the unit.
The dirt bin capacity is 2.2 liters. Thanks to the cyclonic air filtration, Bissell 9595A doesn’t lose suction until the dirt bin is almost full.
Nonetheless, it is recommended to empty the unit after each (larger) cleaning. Also, there is no ‘full dirt bin’ sensor – but, the dirt bin is made out of transparent plastic and is emptied easily.
Bissell 9595A comes with a 2-year limited warranty, which is an excellent warranty for such affordable unit.
For short, Bissell 9595A lacks few features, often found on more expensive models, but in the end, it gets its job done.
Bissell 9595A vs Bissell 1330
Bissell 1330 is a somewhat newer vacuum cleaner, but it is very similar to Bissell 9595A.
Bissell 1330 has a newer brush roll, has a weaker motor (10 Amps vs 12 Amps), a somewhat smaller dirt bin (2l vs 2.2l), and doesn’t come with a dust brush.
These units offer so similar performances and come at very similar prices - if you need a good, entry-level, and rather affordable upright vacuum cleaner with the hose, check which one is on the sale and buy a cheaper one at the moment.
