BLE technology is mostly used in small devices like headsets and similar, allowing direct connection from the smartphone to the device.
On the other hand, WiFi technology (with few additional services) enables connection between device and smartphone even over the internet, allowing the users to connect to their smart homes regardless if they are at home or on another continent.

Long Story Short: Smart vacuums are here to stay - they can save plenty of time and effort and improve the quality of life.
Robot vacuums are the way to go for people with large open areas, IMHO. However, robot vacuums cannot replace the stick, upright, and canister vacuum cleaners, at least not yet.
But, robot vacuums can clean the home while You are away, providing the information in real-time.
And robot vacuums with the onboard camera can even be used as small security robots. But that is another story ...
